Prompt tips
Better prompts mean clearer benchmarks across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini, with fewer wasted runs against your workspace limits.
Mirror real shopper language
Phrase prompts the way customers ask in chat or voice: full questions, product categories, constraints (budget, locale, use case). Avoid internal jargon unless you are explicitly testing whether assistants adopt your branded terms.
One intent per prompt
Split compound questions so you know whether visibility gaps come from brand recall, category breadth, or a specific SKU. Wowser score and drill-downs are easier to interpret when each prompt has a single measurable intent.
Keep prompts stable when trending
When you change wording every week, history becomes noisy. Maintain a core library of “sentinel” prompts and add seasonal variants alongside them so you can separate drift from real competitive movement.
Align with catalogue reality
Tie prompts to products and collections you actually sell. Connected Shopify context helps mentions and citations map to real SKUs. See AEO, GEO & SEO for why answer-engine visibility complements classic search work.
Use limits deliberately
Prompt caps apply per workspace across projects (see FAQs). Prioritise prompts that represent revenue or strategic categories; archive experiments once you have a winner.
